Hope everyone is well. I've recently been trying out some new beauty lotions and potions, and there's a few I'm really loving (a lot more which didn't make the cut, but the less said about those the better I suspect!) So with out further ado....
So as you can tell a random array of skin care, make up products and some hair styling products. I'm kinda fussy about what I consider a good product, hence there being only a few.
Smashbox Under-eye primer
Love this primer, it really helps prevent your concealer creasing, lightweight. Although a little pricey for this tiny tube a little goes along way!
L'Oreal magic perfecting base
Another staple in my makeup bag. And to think there was a time I hated using primers. I've tried a few different primers, I find this is really cheap and helps control shine whilst keeping the make up where it should be. I also like the Smashbox photofinish primer.
Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour cream
Great little product perfect for dry patches pretty much anywhere, does what it says on the packet. Winners (in Canada) have a great deal on this product I think I picked this up for $6.
Vichy Normaderm- hydrating acne care
I definitely believe prevention is better than cure, so I stock up on anti acne treatments. I tend to only get the occasional pimple, but I'm convinced its because I use treatments like this on a regular basis. This is a mild formulation nothing harsh, I tend to use over the cheeks and T zone before bed.
Vitamin C serum.
I've used many, One of the ones I've really enjoyed using was the Body Shop Vit C serum forms a really nice base for your make up. This one works well, but the annoying this is one mixed together (its is a mixture of powder and liquid) it lasts only a month! The skin does need Vit C so i would recommend using a daily moisturiser or serum high in Vit C and E.
Rene Furterer dry shampoo
I'm a dry shampoo fiend- if its on the market I can guarantee I've tried it from cult fave Batiste to BB to Klorane. And I think this is my fave, I say 'think' because Klorane comes a close second. This one by RF is light absorbs oil, has a pleasant scent (not at all overwhelming like the Batiste ones) and does actually make your hair look good! what more could a girl ask for? a cheaper price tage maybe..yeh its downfall it aint cheap...I still do love the Batiste dark brown dry shampoo when I really need a volume boost though!
VO5 Texture powder
This little bottle of magic powder is great, If you've never tried this kind of product; its basically a white powder which you shake in to your roots and rub, it kind of coats the hair strands making them tacky and allowing for voluminous hair styles. I usually use this on second hait day when I know I will be washing my hair soon after. It does give hair that dirty gritty feel so be warned, but id you can avoid over touching and suffer from the occasional limp hair this stuff is great.
Dead sea mineral mask
Now you've probably all heard about the amazing qualities of the Dead Sea and how the high mineral content is soothing and helps skin heal, well im a sucker for anything dead sea (that sounded wierd) so I love this new addition to my beauty regime, its by Ein Gedi. Its actually quite gentle so I use it 2-3 times per week depending on what my skin has had to endure for the week. Usually mud masks are quite harsh so I tended to use them weekly but this one is pretty moisturising and I don't feel that skin tightness after, definitely worth a try. I picked this up from Winners.
I'm currently trying out a rather interesting product supposedly with a snake venom like peptide! its supposed to freeze the wrinkles and work like botox in a bottle...yeh i'm sceptical but its one of those products I just had to try...Ill let you know how I get on with it!
