Last year I found myself embarking on a new phase in life, having spent the last 7 years working as a doctor in the UK, living in London and Manchester enjoying the rush of city living, I married my fiance of 4 years and relocated to the suburbs of Vancouver, British Columbia.
Since then things have been a little up and down; the pressures of moving halfway across the world, leaving friends and family, having to apply for immigration status, studying for licencing exams and currently not working, definitely threw a spanner in the works! Some people can adapt to anything and love the thrill of change, im someone who loves to go crazy and throw caution to the wind for a few weeks or months but wants to be able to go back to routine and familiarity and the end of it.....so why do it you may ask? Well I fell in love (aged old problem lol) and my husband is Canadian, cant stand the tight roads of England the small expensive houses and the idea of driving on the left hand side of the road, so I gave in, packed my bags and here I am!
I decided to write a blog to chronicle my journey, my very own internet diary, for the whole world (potentially lol!) to read my deepest darkest thoughts haha. But also because for the first time in years I have time to be creative and explore other avenues. (You can imagine 5 long years in med school and 7-8 years working and specialising hardly leave much room for creativity!) Other than leading a healthy lifestyle ( and encouraging others to do the same), I love all things fashion and beauty... Im not sure of the direction i want to take this blog, but i would love it to be a little of everything....some health and diet tips, homely recipes, exercise advice, some fashion and beauty blogs and maybe even answering some medical queries anyone may have!
I would love to hear from anyone who similarly threw caution to the wind but found themselves temporarily a little lost and lonely...we could even share our stories over a good old english cuppa!
