My biggest retail weaknesses are the usual suspects; Zara, H&M, Topshop and on occasion vintage stores. I have even been known to score a few gems in car boot sales (flea markets for all the North Americans) -dont knock it till you've frozen your ass on a crisp sunday morning rummaging through peoples junk to the smell of hot dogs and jacket potatoes, in a school playground somewhere in England. Alternatively you could log on to some snazzy 'Vintage' website and buy the same thing for alot more money and a lot less fun!
I digress...what to wear for spring, the things I'm falling back on time and time again as the weather warms up, these are a few staple pieces nothing outrageously expensive, just a few well loved items well worth the price tag.. As I've entered my late twenties and more recently hit the big 30 my fashion sense has definitely changed (as i think most women find) I try to smarten up my look somewhat, less of the 'rolled outta bed' look. But to be honest i don't always succeed!
So I figured the best way to do this would be to show some items of clothing I'm loving and trends that I'm currently following, I'm hoping to do a spring look-book as some point later on with my fave outfits...
Im totally loving all things neon- it adds just the right amount of colour to brighten up an outfit, if your not feeling brave enough to venture all out try some neon nails or a piece of jewellary...
Statement jacket for cooler evenings, studs galore need I say more?
A simple clutch can add a twist to an outfit, especially for evenings, I love embossed patterns and funky colours
Staple maxi dress
Bright dresses
Statement jewellery completes any outfit
A sexy heel, I cant manage much more than 3 inches tho!
I love to add my own embellishments, be it studs beading or shoulder pads...all in the name of fashion!
